I am a very experienced cook and childcare professional running a catering business around my 2 children. They often have friends around who cook lunch and treats with them and from this, and our absolute passion for parties, the concept of Truly Scrumptious was born!  Truly Scrumptious is based in Essex and supports the surrounding counties.  Travel is included up to 40 miles from Braintree.  I am CRB checked, hold a food hygiene certificate and am fully insured.

Without the need to hire a hall (but you can if you wish), you can have a number of children (minimum 6, maximum dependent on ages, average is 8-12 but we do more!) who have bags of fun at your child’s party and cook their own party food, all at home.  We start cooking parties for 2 year olds progressing to 2 course meal parties (see out menus to be inspired) when they reach 4 years and over.  We do sleepover parties for over 10's where they prepare a selection of food to eat later, and also offer masterclasses so your chid can have a one to one at your home and prepare dinner for the family, baking treats, or even a dinner party for their friends.  Any age is welcome, ask and we will try to accommodate you.

 Every Truly Scrumptious party includes,

• Personalised party invitations (sent to you, no need for you to print yourself!)
• Going home gifts, fabric apron which they have decorated, recipe card and cookies which they have iced (chocolate truffle making can be subsituted for children aged over 10)
• All the food!  Most parties are a 2 course meal or the children can ice cookies and cakes; you don't shop, you don't cook, you don't clear up!
• All the equipment required is brought along too, from cloths and aprons to rolling pins and plates, whatever is needed to prepare the menu of your choice.

The reason that Truly Scrumprious Chidlren's Cooking Parites are such a success and such great fun is the children!  All childlren, boys and girls, love to cook.  The most tricky eater will try what they have cooked at our parties as the food is quite familar and they have invested time preparing it!  Parties are 2 1/2 hours long, with the exception of the 'Sweetie Pie' party which is 1 1/2 hours.  I arrive 30 minutes before to set up (you need a table and chairs for the children to work at), and leave 30 minutes after following a comprehensive clear up so you don't need to worry about the mess either.  You only have to provide drinks, honestly we do prvide everything else for your party; food, goodies bags and entertainment!
