My name is Denise, and I am a very experienced cook and childcare professional. I started Truly Scrumptious when my children were small and often had friends around who I cooked lunch and treats with - from this, and my passion for parties - Truly Scrumptious was born back in 2009!
Truly Scrumptious is based in Essex and supports the surrounding counties. (Travel is included up to 20 miles from Braintree.) I am DBS-checked, hold a Food Hygiene Certificate, and am fully insured. Without the need to hire a hall (but you can if you wish), you can have minimum 6 children, (maximum numbers dependent on ages) who have bags of fun at your child’s party and cook their own party food, all by themselves!
Parties are availble for 2-year-olds and above, progressing from cookie and cake decorating to 2-course meals (4-year-olds and above). We do sleepover parties for over 10's, where they prepare a selection of food to eat later, and we also offer masterclasses so your child can have a one-to-one at your home and prepare dinner for the family, bake treats, or even host a dinner party for their friends.

Personalised party invitations (sent to you, no need for you to print yourself!)
Going home gifts, fabric apron and recipe card. Many also include cookies which they have iced.
All the food! Most parties include a 2-course meal or the children can ice cookies and cakes and eat from the lunch box provided. You don't shop, you don't cook, you don't clean up!
All the equipment required is brought along too, from cloths and aprons to rolling pins and plates. In other words, whatever is needed to prepare the menu of your choice.

The reason that Truly Scrumptious Children’s Cooking Parties are such a great success is the children! The trickiest eater will try what they have cooked at our parties as the food is quite familiar and they have invested time preparing it!
Parties start from 2 hours up to 4 hours depending on the package selected. I arrive 15 minutes earlier to set up (you need a table and chairs for the children to work at), and leave around 30 minutes after following a comprehensive clear up so you don't need to worry about the mess either. You only provide drinks (and children!). Honestly, we do provide everything else for your party: food, goodies, bags and entertainment!

As well as children’s parties, we also offer catering services for all occasions, including children's birthday parties to weddings. This includes wedding cakes and entertainment during the reception.
